Lieu Dit, Chenin Blanc 2020

Flag of United States

Lieu Dit is a partnership of longtime friends Eric Railsback and Justin Willett. The two were among a small group of young winemakers and restaurateurs in Santa Barbara, California, unified by a common interest in wine and all its mysteries. After countless bottles shared together and many trips to France, Railsback and Willett decided to found Lieu Dit in 2011 and focus it solely in the varieties indigenous to the Loire Valley, France. Chenin Blanc 2020 is a gorgeously, soft, delicious Chenin. The grapes were hand-harvested and spent 7-months in neutral French oak, prior to being moved back into stainless steel right before bottling to bring out the mouth-watering acidity we love in this variety. Notes of apple, apricot and grapefruit move to a vibrant palate with further citrussy flavours and a nice long, minerally finish. A stunning wine to pair with shellfish or soft cheeses.
